<p class="wp-block-paragraph">MY REVIEW: This was a good read, not quite as light and fluffy as some of the others in the series, as it deals with some hard/heavy things, but still it was a great addition to the Twin Waves Sweet Romcom Series. It definitely did have its hysterical moment’s though! The friend group was also so good, loved all of them so much! All in all a good book<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f970.png" alt="🥰" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Some internal thoughts while reading:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li class="">I loved little Ellen so much<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> she was hysterical!</li>

<li class="">Ugh, it always comes down to misunderstandings &#8211; I seriously think that is one of the leading causes of breakups!</li>

<li class="">Rex and Ruffy are favorites<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f60d.png" alt="😍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></li>

<li class="">Penelope strikes again<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f620.png" alt="😠" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></li>

<li class="">Honestly after three times I don’t think I would’ve stayed<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f62c.png" alt="😬" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> I get it but also kinda not.</li>

<li class="">That was a cute ending and I’m so excited for the next book<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f60d.png" alt="😍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></li>
</ul>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f490.png" alt="💐" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Third Chance Romance<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2665.png" alt="♥" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Small Town<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f490.png" alt="💐" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Book Club Besties<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2665.png" alt="♥" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Celebrity Romance<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f490.png" alt="💐" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Florist FMC<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2665.png" alt="♥" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Rock Star MMC</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f92c.png" alt="🤬" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />: 1 use of h*ll<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f336.png" alt="🌶" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />: Kisses only</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">OVERVIEW: She left twice. He wrote hit songs about it. The whole world sang along.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">DELILAH</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">At thirty-seven, I&#8217;ve made a career out of running. From my mother, the Carolina coast, and the boy I loved at seventeen and again at twenty-seven.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Now I&#8217;m back in Twin Waves with sand between my toes and no plan except taking over Mom&#8217;s flower shop on the boardwalk. Fresh salt air, fresh start.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Then he walks in.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The boy I left behind is now a chart-topping rock star, and his biggest hits are love songs the whole world knows by heart. Love songs I&#8217;m starting to realize might be about me.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And he needs a florist for his stepbrother&#8217;s wedding.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">LEVI</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I came home to Twin Waves hoping the ocean breeze would cure my writer&#8217;s block. Then I saw her—Delilah, the woman who left me twice without ever telling me why.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I should keep my distance, but here&#8217;s the problem: I can only write music when she&#8217;s nearby. So now I&#8217;m the best man stuck planning a wedding with the woman who shattered my heart while her meddling mother waves around a twenty-year-old time capsule full of promises we never kept.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Third time&#8217;s the charm&#8230;or the final heartbreak.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Blooming Up My Second Chance</em>&nbsp;is a sweet beach romcom set in a small coastal town in North Carolina. Expect ocean breezes, meddling mothers, a book club that knows everyone&#8217;s business, and a second chance romance twenty years in the making. This clean and wholesome read features a rock star hero, a midlife heroine, and all the heartwarming feels of finding your way back home.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Book 4 in the Twin Waves Sweet Romcom Series. Can be read as a standalone.</em></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">OVERVIEW: He’s her landlord, her favorite author, and her anonymous pen pal—and she has no idea.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Jessica</em></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">My landlord hates joy. And bookstores. And probably puppies.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Scott Avery just announced he’s hiking my rent by forty percent.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Which would be tragic, since The Fiction Nook is my happy place…and he’s my least favorite human.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">And the anonymous letters I’ve been trading through the “Letters to Local Authors” program are starting to sound suspiciously like him.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">No. Absolutely not. I am&nbsp;<em>not</em>&nbsp;crushing on my grouchy landlord.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><em>Scott</em></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Jessica Wells is chaos wrapped in sunshine and sticky notes.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She drives me insane in the kind of way that makes me check her socials just to see her smile.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I’m supposed to be raising her rent, not falling for her.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But she doesn’t know her secret pen pal is me.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Or that I’m the romance author she loves to critique. Some plot twists you just can’t write yourself.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Perfect for fans of <em>You’ve Got Mail</em> and small-town beach romcoms, <em>Plotting Up My Next Chapter</em> is a heartwarming, enemies-to-lovers clean romance about second chances, secret letters, and finding love when you finally stop hiding who you are.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Internal thoughts while reading<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2b07.png" alt="⬇" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2b07.png" alt="⬇" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2b07.png" alt="⬇" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2b07.png" alt="⬇" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br>Max and Crew are so precious!!<br>The beginning is give Luke and Lorelai vibes<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f979.png" alt="🥹" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br>Opening a restaurant definitely sounds stressful but also so so much fun<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f60d.png" alt="😍" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br>Brett’s past breaks my heart<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f494.png" alt="💔" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br>Ugh Amber and Brett kinda frustrate me because they just can’t seem to pull themselves together! Just when they are making progress in their relationship a simple, tiny thing get majorly blown out of proportion and made a huge deal<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1fae0.png" alt="🫠" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> I understand all the feeling and pain they each felt but also they seem just a bit dramatic about everything<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br>I’m loving the personal growth in Brett<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f618.png" alt="😘" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br>Chad is such a tool<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f621.png" alt="😡" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /><br>Brett is just a bit clumsy, and I love it<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f602.png" alt="😂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Cookies make everything better.”<br>“You need someone who sees your strength, not just your sunshine. Someone who doesn’t try to dim your light but isn’t blinded by it either.”<br>“Just because someone is nice sometimes, it doesn’t mean they’ll stay nice.”<br>“Love isn’t avoiding the storm…it’s learning to dance in the rain.”<br>“What if I’m not brave enough?” “Then I’ll be brave enough for both of us until you catch up.”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Single Mom<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Grumpy/Sunshine<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Slow Burn<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Business Partners<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Midlife Romance<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/2728.png" alt="✨" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />Protective MMC</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f336.png" alt="🌶" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />: Kisses Only<br><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/72x72/1f92c.png" alt="🤬" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />: 2 uses of h*ll</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">OVERVIEW: Sunny single mom + grumpy protective silver fox + forced proximity = one sizzling slow burn</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Amber:<br>When the health inspector shut down the diner I manage, I lost more than my paycheck. Suddenly, I’m standing in the wreckage of the life I’d been drifting through, with three hungry kids, a stack of my grandma’s recipes, and no backup plan.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">I never planned to chase my own dream—but maybe I should. And apparently, Brett Walker thinks so too. He’s a gruff contractor, ex-military, and the last man I expected to offer help. His business proposal could change everything. The catch? We’ll be working side-by-side, day after day, and my sunny outlook seems to clash with his stormy moods… even as something warmer starts to take root between us.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Brett:<br>I came to Twin Waves to renovate a few properties, keep my head down, and move on. That’s what I do—fix things, then walk away.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">But Amber’s not just another project. She’s stubborn, strong, and more capable than she realizes. And the more time I spend with her—and her kids—the harder it is to imagine leaving when the work is done.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She’s sunshine with a side of sass. He’s grump with a hammer. Together, they might just build something worth keeping.</p>
